Cutting carbon and growing the economy

The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce is working with businesses across the Island to promote green ideas and re-energise the conversation around sustainability and the economy. Can you change the way your employees travel to work – or could you save money and get a healthier workplace by changing the way that your business operates?

There are many ways that your business can work in a greener way. Cutting carbon starts with the way in which you or your employees travel to work.

In this section of the website you’ll find useful tips and advice about car-sharing, the benefits of cycling to work and using public transport. You can also learn more about “smart working”.

We have advice for employers as well as employees, including information on schemes that can support you and your business. Find out more about how you can adopt a Green Travel Plan from the Isle of Wight Chamber. Learn more about sustainable travel providers including Red Squirrel Electric Bikes and CoWheels. We also have hints and tips from organisations like CycleWight and The Footprint Trust.
