Visit Isle of Wight’s Travel Ambassador Green Star Scheme is being promoted with a “Round The Island” Bus tour on Thursday next week, ending with a chance to experience the Electric Woods at Robin Hill for a few hours. The Green Star scheme has been launched to raise awareness of sustainable transport options among the Island’s accommodation providers.

Visitor Experience Manager Zoe Stroud said:
“It has been great to see so many tourism businesses at the recent drop ins across the island and I am delighted by the positive response to the Travel Ambassador Green Star Scheme. Many businesses mentioned they would be keen to have a familiarisation trip on the bus and I am delighted to announce that Southern Vectis will be offering the opportunity to join a “Round the Island Tour” on the 23rd of February, ending at Robin Hill at 5.30pm  The idea behind this is to help businesses understand more about what the Island and its bus service can offer. Southern Vectis have provided complimentary buses, and Robin Hill have kindly agreed to allow pre-registered guests in for free that evening (at 5.30pm). If this event is successful, we hope to create other sustainable travel events across the year.”
