Wightlink’s Portsmouth car ferry terminal will be closed for three days on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd November 2016 as part of the company’s £45 million investment in a new ship and port works.

All sailings to and from Fishbourne will be diverted to the Portsmouth International Port (cross channel ferry terminal) during those days. A revised timetable will be in operation*. Wightlink will only accept booked vehicles at this time and no dangerous goods will be carried.

Foot passengers will only be carried on Wightlink’s catamarans from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head and there will be extra overnight cats on this route.

Wightlink advises everyone planning to travel to and from Portsmouth to Fishbourne to arrive at Portsmouth International Port in good time and at least 30 minutes before the time of their booked sailing. In addition, vehicles and passengers travelling to or from the International Port may be subject to checks.

This closure is taking place to allow contractors to carry out essential piling work close to the boarding ramp in Portsmouth.
