Wight Community Energy

Wight Community Energy (WCE) is a community benefit society at the heart of developing a sustainable, low carbon, economically prosperous Isle of Wight. WCE manages a 3.95MW solar PV farm called Homestead in Shafleet on the Isle of Wight, selling solar energy as a feed-in tariff to the National Grid. WCE is a community owned organisation, which means that investor members control the organisation on a one member-one vote basis, and receive a percentage interest each year
