IW Chamber Members Exclusive Tour of Vikoma

IW Chamber Members are invited to join us for a behind the scenes tour of Vikoma International Ltd.

Vikoma has been manufacturing on the Isle of Wight since the early 1970’s.  Vikoma was formed by BP in 1967 following the Torrey Canyon oil spill, the UK’s largest ever spill when 32 million gallons of oil were spilled off the coast of the UK.

It has since been a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative equipment to contain and clean up oil spills to minimise damage to the environment. It also designs and manufactures products to separate oil from waste in industrial applications such as in refineries or road drainage sumps.  Vikoma equipment is exported and used worldwide for emergency response as well as continuous long term use in industrial applications.

Vikoma is now under private ownership with 60 employees and is a Patron to the Chamber of Commerce.  Vikoma is delighted to invite Chamber members to come and learn more about the business and take a tour of it worldclass factory in East Cowes.
