Isle of Wight Council Strengthens Impact Through Chamber Membership

How Chamber involvement helped the Isle of Wight Council expand collaboration, increase programme engagement and strengthen community connections.

Collaboration That Extends Reach

Through events, publications and partnership initiatives, the Chamber helped the Council and Building 41 connect with new organisations and broaden their Island-wide impact.

For Ella Clapham and the Isle of Wight Council, Chamber membership has created valuable opportunities to connect with businesses and professionals across the Island. Networking events, the Expo magazine and the annual Expo have introduced the Council and Building 41 to organisations they may not have encountered through day-to-day operations alone.

A key outcome of this relationship has been the success of the Go for Growth collaboration with the Chamber. Increased business participation has allowed the Council to extend the reach and impact of the programme, delivering greater value to Island organisations. The Chamber’s platform has helped raise awareness and drive engagement, strengthening the initiative’s effectiveness.

For Building 41, membership also represents being part of a wider business community. It connects the workspace to organisations that share similar ambitions, creating opportunities to collaborate, showcase services and build stronger ties across the Island’s business landscape.

Member Feedback

“The best thing about being a Chamber member is the opportunity to meet other like-minded businesses and employees of other organisations, so you can create that collaboration. It’s helped us reach more Island organisations and make a much bigger impact in what we do at Building 41 and the Isle of Wight Council.”
