The Chamber of Commerce has been giving health talks and presentations to apprenticeship providers across the Island. Angela Harding, the Health improvement Programme Co-ordinator for Chamber Health, has visited The Tuition Centre in Rookley and HTP Training in Newport. Angela also took part in a Health Day at the Isle of Wight College.

Emma Meek, Student Welfare Officer at Isle Of Wight College said: “We always organise regular Health events during the academic year. It helps prepare the students to get ready for working life. The more knowledge these youngsters have of health issues and how to deal with them the better.”

Sallyanne Farley, HTP’s Workplacement and Enrichment Co-ordinator said: “Angela’s talk was very inspirational. The learners were very interested in what she had to say about taking care of their health. We are preparing these youngsters for the workplace but we also educate them in all areas of life.”
