The Events Co are all set for a busy 2015 – with the help of the Isle Of Wight Lottery.

Khia Janzen and Pamela Attrill planned their business for a year and began trading in August, with a match-funded lottery loan of £8,500.00. They specialise in stock hire and planning for events, along with sourcing venues and other materials. They’ve been busy with wedding fairs, private parties and an open day, in preparation for when the new season starts in March and April.

“We couldn’t have done it without the Isle Of Wight Lottery,” says Pamela. “The team were lovely and made the process very comfortable for us. The loan allowed us to get set up and move forward. We were able to buy stock, to have our own premises and start advertising.”

“The matched funding helped us to achieve our goal,” agrees Khia. “The Isle Of Wight Lottery came to the rescue really and it does make a massive difference having that feeling that somebody is checking up on you. In 2015 we’re really looking forward to working with the business community. We can be a support system or we can take on all the stress and the planning of an event. We’re already working on the Isle Of Arts Festival and that will really kick the season off for us.”
