Mountbatten is looking for business leaders to join the board of the Island’s only hospice. The charity is reaching out to people with a background in financial investment, business building, accountancy or income generation.

“Being a trustee provides an opportunity to share and develop your skills, knowledge and experience, whilst you support one of the country’s leading end of life care charities,” says Sara Weech, Chair of Trustees at Mountbatten. “Our recently launched Mountbatten Care Coordination Centre aims to assess and plan the care of Islanders with life threatening illnesses much sooner. A growing training and education programme is also central to our strategy, and an ambitious £1.5m capital campaign aims to provide non-clinical support services to more Islanders of all ages.”

“With only a third of our income coming from government funding, the challenge is set to find innovative new ways to increase income so we can continue to provide unrivalled care and support to our Island community. Will you be part of that team?” says Nigel Hartley, Chief Executive.
