Newport based Indigo Graphics have announced a substantial investment in new printing equipment, that will be unique to the Island.

The impressive Platinum Hybrid Q3-XL accommodates larger sized media, up to 3200mm wide meter boards to be printed with ease. Indigo are the only print production company on the Island to be able to offer such wide format printing in-house. In addition, the new printer enables Indigo to print 3 x faster, (with a maximum print speed of 360m2 per hour) at 2880dpi.

This opens the doors for much larger dimension printing – think events, heavier banners, larger size boards, giant wall art and posters etc. We hope this encourages Island companies and organisations to focus on using an Island based company rather than going straight online for advertising and promotional products.

An additional benefit of the Q3 – it boasts of being more eco-friendly. As one of the lowest power consumption machines available, it uses the greenest inks available. This ties in to Indigo’s commitment to using and promoting more eco-friendly products and processes, and reducing waste.

The speed and efficiency of this new printer is of particular benefit to creative agencies, and other clients requiring next day service.

Mike Ellison – Managing Director and Owner of Indigo Graphics and sister company Indigo Marine, commented:

“We are incredibly excited to confirm that we shall be taking delivery of the Platinum Hybrid Q3-XL printer. We understand that the technicalities of this machine will not necessarily excite the general public – but what we can now offer in-house, here on the Island, is extra large format printing – up to 3200mm wide, in a super fast time. This printer will be the largest, and only of of it’s kind on the Island. This investment is part of our growth strategy, ensuring Indigo Graphics are able to offer our outstanding services nationwide, as well as to Island businesses. We continually invest in our people via training courses and events, so it is natural to invest in state-of-the-art machinery, enabling us to offer the very best possible quality and service.”
