The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting was held on Friday 12th October at the Garlic Farm. The meeting was chaired by Steve Porter, Chairman of the Chamber board. The Chamber’s Chief Executive Steven Holbrook shared his vision and ideas for the future of the Chamber and the meeting formally approved changes to the Chamber board.

John Irvine from WightFibre was elected to the Professional and Business Services board. Alan Limb stands down from this board after completing his second 3 year term of office.

Lynn Ellsbury from Liz Earle Beauty Company joins the Tourism, Leisure & Retail board along with Rob Holgate from Vectis Ventures. John Allen and Tina Jennings have stood down from this category.

The AGM also recognised long-standing members, with a silver award presented to Isle of Wight College marking 20 years of membership. Bronze member certificates, marking 10 years of membership, were presented to Abbotts Flooring, Betapak, Richardson’s Yacht Services, Needles Pleasure Cruises, Newclose Cricket Club and Thinking Finance.
