The support of the Island’s business community is invaluable in sustaining the growing demand for end of life services for people across the Isle of Wight. Mountbatten is fortunate to have forged strong partnerships with many local companies over the years and, according to CEO Nigel Hartley, their continued commitment is more vital than ever.

“In the last year alone, we have seen a 50% increase in the number of people we support,” Nigel says. “Each and every year, we must find £8m to ensure no-one dies without Mountbatten at their side, and yet we know that we are still not reaching one in three people who deserve our care. Corporate support and building mutually beneficial partnerships is key to sustaining and growing all of these services for people across the Isle of Wight facing death, dying and bereavement. As we reach more people, we will undoubtedly need to find further funding.

“Supporting Mountbatten allows businesses to embrace their commitment to reaching their corporate social responsibility objectives by contributing to end of life care for everyone who needs it now and in the future.”

If your business would like to support Island people facing death, dying and bereavement, there are opportunities to sponsor a table and exhibit at Mountbatten’s annual conference, being held 31 October and 1 November 2019.
