Alzheimer Cafe Isle of Wight is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
We have recently opened the Alzheimer Café @ Parklands in Cowes; the Islands first resource centre for expert and bespoke information, advice, and activity for people living with or caring for a person with a dementia. The centre is evolving weekly to enable a safe space for people to access all the support services they need, under one roof, without any prior appointment.
Our Community Café welcomes everyone to share in our new vibrant space, with the added bonus of friendly support when people need it most. People living with a dementia can visit for enjoyable and meaningful activity @ Parklands Wellbeing Club, providing respite opportunities for relatives and carers.
Alzheimer Café IOW also continues to run seven cafés each month across the Island in Newport, Sandown, Totland, Cowes, Bembridge and East Cowes. Our latest cafe ACE7 at Parklands is aimed at people who are under the age of 65, living with a dementia. The Alzheimer Cafe Isle of Wight is aligned with the Dementia Awareness Partnership who continue to provide training in the community and within health and social care settings across the Island.
